Our history
windiwse is transforming Namibia’s renewable energy landscape by establishing local wind turbine manufacturing facilities with advanced European technology, aiming for energy self-sufficiency and local job creation. The windwise team has more than 300 years of cumulated experience in the wind industry:
- Design & development of multi-MW wind turbines and components.
- Industrialization: set-up of manufacturing facilities, supply chain and quality assurance.
- Technical operation of the wind turbines.
Why wind turbines?
Windturbines and solar panels are the number one renewable energy supply in desert areas. While solar panels only work efficiently one third of the day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, wind turbines can supply power around the clock, independent of fog or clouds.
Our Namibian Story
…started in 2021 when the Ambassador of Namibia to Germany, his Excellency Martin Andjaba and the Commercial Attaché, Mrs Lucia Radovanovic visited windwise in Germany: Their proposal to visit Namibia was accepted by windwise, being the reason for us being in Namibia today.
